PHOTOGRAPHING AND FILMING AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY

FOR PRIVATE USE

Photographing and filming for private use is permitted in the Royal Academy building, as long as you don’t use a flash or stand. Exceptions may occur for exhibitions or objects in exhibition where photography is prohibited. Share your pictures in social media with #konstakademien and @konstakademien.

FOR PROFESSIONAL USE

Photography or filming for professional or commercial use is by agreement and requires written photo permission. For photo permission, it is required that there is a clear connection to art or the activities at the Academy of Arts. Photography or filming where the academy is used solely as a backdrop is generally not approved.

The application should be sent no later than one week before the photo opportunity, as it is not possible to grant photo and filming requests on site. A granted permit costs SEK 1500 plus VAT.
